Approximate calculation method for specific problems of uplift resistance of footings
Sliding surface of tower foundation is assumed to be composed of combined curve of logarithmic spiral and its tangential straight line; equation is presented for calculation of optimum uplift resistance; equation is simplified, approximate equations are derived, and calculated values are compared with test results; results of laboratory model tests which were performed to investigate effects of inclined ground surface. (In Japanese with English summary)
