Results of four outdoor transformer fires initiated by Ontario Hydro to review possibility of power interruption from fire in transformer station; temperatures were measured at critical locations on equipment, and heat pattern surrounding fires was established; paper covers design aspects, extent of damage, alarm systems and means of extinguishment.
