Experimental study of nonprismatic folded plates
Experimental study was conducted on two aluminum nonprismatic folded plate structural models; stresses, moments, and deflections predicted by theory for analysis of long nonprismatic folded plate structures are compared to experimental results obtained from model study; first model was made of eight triangular plates with span to maximum depth ratio of about three; second model featured eight trapezoidal plates with span to maximum depth ratio of about four.
