Gepatsch rockfill dam, 153 m high of Tyrolean Hydroelectric Power Co (Tiwag) was completed in autumn 1964; during first two operational years up to Sept 1966 full reservoir level could be reached after two previous filling periods; through extensive measurements of soil pressure it was ascertained that central dam core transfers part of its weight to bordering transition zones through arching effect; influence of mylonite zone and of grout curtain on seepage flow as well as compression of rock were measured in bedrock; measuring equipment has stood up well; measurements showed that Gepatsch rockfill dam has behaved satisfactorily up to now.
