Quantitative characterization of geometric parameters of jointing in rock masses
Methods and techniques used to characterize quantitatively geometric parameters defining jointing in rock masses; in particular statistical methods used to establish and analyze homogeneity of rock masses are explained, and procedures used to determine areas of spacings between joints of occurring sets are presented; examples illustrating application of these methods; application of method in testing of dam sites.
