Testing of model curved steel girder bridge
Tests of three 1/8-scale curved girder bridge models were conducted in Civil Engineering Dept at University of Rhode Island at Kingston, with purpose of confirming analytical solutions; results of tests of three-girder, two span model of 160 ft long prototype bridge; model simulates highway ramp for typical city interchange; tests were run on bridge with loads applied at various points on spans; deflections, torsional rotations, stresses and moments of girders were tested.
