Remnant ends of prestressing wires are used to tie uplift-resistant bridge rocker down to abutment concrete, yet permit rotational movement; rocker is 8 in. wide by about 30 in. high; two bolts through bottom flange of each steel girder of bridge extend deep into rocker; lead plates and washers at steel contact provide for movement.
