Designing and construction of largest commercial fishing boat made from glass fiber reinforced plastics; in construction of hull strip-planked timber plug was used as male mold with glass laid-up on outside; use of male mold, instead of usual female type, made possible savings in costs, especially as exterior finish is not of prime importance in trawler; sandwich construction was employed, using core of foamed polyurethane sheet; evaluation of building and maintenance costs and their comparison with those of wooden vessels.
