Small-scale push-out tests on welded stud shear connectors
Tests on 20 `half-scale' push-out specimens are described; tests were planned to investigate effects of varying number, spacing and pattern of welded studs which were used as shear connectors in composite T-beams; for all specimens shear connectors were identical; specimens were in groups of four, with `standard' control specimen in each group; after allowing for natural variation of concrete strength from group to group, comparative effects of various stud numbers and patterns are examined.
