Project yields by probability method
Simplified statistical method of estimating future yields from reservoirs involves selection of period and runoff record for use in study, use of computers to establish hypothetical runoff sequences and compute-and-plot accumulated deviations from mean, graphical analyses of sequences for safe yields, and statistical treatment of yield values to determine probabilities of occurrence; method was applied to Glen Canyon Reservoir and resulted in 50% probability.
