Very small scale reinforced concrete multi-panel flat slabs
Investigation to evaluate feasibility of constructing and using 1/16-scale structural models for studies of behavior and strength of reinforced concrete floor slabs, began as result of recent 1/4-scale floor slab studies conducted at Univ of Illinois; structure F4, 1/16-scale model of original prototype structure, was built and tested; results obtained were satisfactory, and structure F5, also 1/16-scale model related to prototype only in that geometric layout of each was same, was built and tested to evaluate new design method presented by Hatcher.
