The economic limitation of hollow-block masonry
Formula is derived for calculating, with given price for 1000 bricks and given mixing proportions of concrete for concrete hollow blocks, maximum price of hydraulic cement per 100 kg., up to which the production of concrete blocks is more economical than that of brick masonry. Tabular data are given on use of solid and hollow concrete blocks.
