Cements made from blast-furnace slag are divided into five classes: (1) Blast-furnace slag as cement; (2) slag cements; (3) portland cement; (4) improved slag cement; and (5) iron portland cement. How far iron portland cement can comply with tests required in British standard specification for portland cement is indicated.
