The protection of concrete buildings against damp and water
Following proportions are suggested where dampness of water is to be combated: (1) for 4 parts of crushed stone 1/4 to 1/2 in diameter, mixture of one part of cement and 2 parts of sand containing rather more fine grade than are needed to obtain concrete of maximum strength; (2) for smaller stones 1/2 in and less 1:2:2 mixture. From La Revue des Materiaux de Construction et de Travaux Publics.
