Homestake trans-divide water supply project
Homestake Project is scheduled to go into initial service in Fall of 1966; with planned future extensions it will bring to Cities of Aurora and Colorado Springs annual net total of 70,800 acre-ft of diverted west-slope water; collection and delivery systems include four tunnels totaling 8 mi in length, 250 ft high asphalt-concrete faced Homestake Dam, and 50 mi of 66 in. diam pipe line.
