Bounding plane stress solutions by finite elements
Stiffness properties of finite sized model element of plate under plane stress are presented; mathematical model is piece of material itself and not configuration of bars that replace material; it is shown that additional deformation condition should be specified instead of arbitrary arrangement of bars; example shows that this extra condition considerably increases accuracy of model and so reduces number of degrees of freedom required to approximate continuous system; system of bounding deflection under single load is shown by assigning values to free parameter.
