Tentative standard specification DIN 1058 for "acid chimneys,"
Defined as chimney in which humidity occurs in conjunction with chemically aggressive waste gases; it applies in general to chimneys in which exhaust gas temperature is below dewpoint of vapors contained in exhaust gas, at least temporarily, or in parts of chimney so that condensate forms; sheet n 1 of standard applies to calculation and types; sheet n 2 applies to design and construction.
