Ground-resistance measurements of drill-hole casings
Inquiries received, concerning protective grounding for drill hole casings, had special reference to drill hole casings grouted in place and utilized for suspended cables that transmit electricity to underground coal mining equipment; 21 casings were tested; conclusion is that no additional precautions, such as solid connections to grounding electrodes, are necessary to obtain permanent and effective grounding of drill hole casing.
