Investigation of Schmidt concrete test hammer
Tests made to evaluate readings (quality and strength) obtained with Schmidt hammer on hardened concrete surfaces by correlation with results obtained by conventional test methods; after curing, one face was exposed to wet sand mat and other to laboratory air; tests made on both faces; investigation indicated hammer can be used to estimate concrete strength provided it is calibrated under conditions of use.
