Review of available information on polyvinyl acetate as admixture for concrete
PVA, when used as admixture with portland cement, produces excellent bonding of fresh mortar to old concrete and improves several properties of concrete; mortar containing PVA exhibits improved physical properties when cured in dry atmosphere; when it is immersed in water or subjected to weather involving high humidity, considerable loss of strength, warping, and cracking result.
