Test results of investigation on 66 reinforced concrete beams; limit-stress of longitudinal reinforcement consisting of round-steel bars, was about 10% higher than lower yield-point of bars; this is valid in case of stronger reinforcement, as long as percentage of steel does not exceed standard limit and if shearing reinforcement and anchorage of steel are assured.
