Quay reconstruction at Wallsend
Note on reconstruction of quay at Turbinia Works, belonging to Parsons Marine Steam Turbine Co; structures comprise eastern and western extensions and bollard quay, 220 ft 9 in., 158 ft 3 in. and 17 ft 9 in. long respectively; extensions are similar in design and comprise two rows of reinforced concrete piles 16×16 in. square, 60 ft long at 18-ft centers with additional row in western section, to support front of deck projecting to curved river line; general plan and cross sectional views.
