Development of limestone mines into underground warehouses
It is emphasized that due to modern mining methods it is more economical to quarry limestone by room and pillar method than by open face quarrying; extent of development of warehouses in underground quarries of Kansas City area; problems of roof bolting, carrying roads and railroads into underground warehouse, employee parking, construction of buildings and facilities associated with warehouse planning and design are discussed.
