Fluctuation of pressure in conduit expansions
In study of cavitation and energy dissipation in conduit expansions, writers present measurements of magnitude and scale of boundary pressure fluctuations in zone of turbulent diffusion for noncavitating flow at three different expansion ratios; in analyzing these measurements, six statistical aspects of fluctuation in pressure are proposed for consideration, and in addition, those involving cavitation, for structural design of expansion chambers as energy dissipators.
