Prismatic shells with intermediate columns
Simply supported prismatic shells with intermediate columns located along longitudinal edges are analyzed; magnitude of column reactions is determined by flexibility influence coefficients assuming that vertical displacements of shell at column supports are zero; comparison of magnitude and distribution of stress resultants and displacements of simply supported prismatic shells with two and four equally spaced intermediate columns resulting from dead load or uniform live load with results obtained for shell without intermediate columns is given.
