Application of shell theory to arch dams
Analytical procedure by which application of shell theory to arch dam design is presented; procedure has advantage that most of simultaneous equations required for analysis of dam can be quickly established, with aid of electronic computer, with exception of those which take into account influence of boundary; equations of equilibrium are deduced from consideration of statics of small element in dam.
