Shear strength at interface of two concretes
Experimental results are presented as obtained from investigation of bond between new and old concrete in composite structure; reactions transmitted at interface are analyzed; strength influencing factors, such as bonding effect, surface roughness, compressive force, transversal reinforcement, internal shrinkage stresses, and quality of concrete are discussed for various loading conditions; recommendations are given concerning critical shear stress values which should be assumed in strength calculations.
