Progress of consolidation in clay layer increasing in thickness with time
One-dimensional consolidation of clay layer which increases in thickness with time; because of variations in pore-water pressures and length of drainage path, standard methods of analysis are inapplicable; problem is reduced to linear integral equation; example is given for estimating progress of consolidation in rolled fill dam during construction.
