Analysis of tied arch which has been constructed economically as end frame; hangers have been provided to keep tie in position; economy in steel and cement; quantities of steel and cement work out to only 3 to 4 lb/ft2 and 9 to 10 lb/ft2 respectively, of which steel in end frames forms major part; this type of construction makes possible saving of about 52% in quantity of steel required.
