Symmetrically loaded base slab on elastic foundation
Method of analysis which takes account of effect of rigidity of foundation upon reaction distribution; base slab extends between two vertical walls to which it is rigidly connected; slab is considered to be acted upon symmetrically by thrust, shear, and moment from vertical walls; formulas and graphs for stiffness and fixed end moment values are presented so that moments can be obtained by moment distribution.
