New pendulum type machine and method for determining relative slipperiness of floor surfaces under various conditions are described; tests of various floor materials are given, including such general types as stone, terrazzo, cement mortar, magnesite, ceramic tile, metal, asphalt, rubber, linoleum, and wood.
