Free cantilever system of construction used in building prestressed bridges is described and several projects discussed; new stress ribbon bridge concept in prestressed bridge construction is also discussed; system uses stress ribbon of concrete hanging in funicular curve cantilevered from piers at both ends; concept is equivalent to steel suspension bridge for concrete construction; several proposed bridges are described.
