Wiener-Hopf technique provides significant extension of range of diffraction problem that can be solved by use of Fourier transform; as example, problem of diffraction of sea-waves by insular breakwater is treated; approximate expressions, taking into account interaction between edges, are derived; some numerical results are also presented in which interaction solution derived in this paper significantly improves noninteraction approximation.
