Assessment of common assumptions in estimating cooling loads and space temperatures
Analytical study carried out to determine errors associated with various simplifying assumptions and to evaluate significance of various room construction features; system of linear equations was derived to describe thermal behavior of typical air conditioned office; equations took separate account of radiative and convective heat transfer in room as well as heat storage of room; room details and method of setting up mathematical model are given; using this model, cooling load and surface temperatures were determined with coupled digital-analog computer.
