High strength bars as concrete reinforcement -- 4. Control of cracking
Cracking behavior of 3 series of flexural members, half-scale highway bridge girders, comparable rectangular and Tee girders, and slab-strip specimens; dynamic and static loads were applied to highway girders, and static loads only to other specimens; design criteria for crack control are reviewed with respect to results obtained and other experimental work, and method of crack control in design is proposed, suitable for members reinforced with American deformed bars.
