Behaviour of prestressed concrete sections near maximum moment
Prestressed concrete sections were tested in pure bending to obtain complete moment-curvature curves; discussion of conditions of maximum moment of under- and over-reinforced sections, including cases of combinations of bending moment and axial load; analysis based on stress-strain curve of concrete; it is shown that conventional curves are not true stress-strain curves of concrete; attempts to obtain actual curves; parameters obtained give closer agreement with measurements of maximum bending moments and curvatures in actual tests.
