Study of mechanical properties of aluminum alloys at elevated temperatures; 2 8WF 10.72 columns were tested; column wrapped with lath and 2 in. of plaster reached 375 F in 2 hr 13 min and 500 F in 2 hr 29 min; second column was wrapped with lath, coated with 1 1/2 in. of plaster, wrapped with second layer of lath and more plaster, to provide total thickness of 3 in.; this column reached 375 F in 4 hr 7 min and 500 F in 4 hr 30 min.
