Calculation of tilt stability of depressed continuous beam
3-span continuous beam with equal length spans and constant symmetric cross section, stressed by equal partial loads and normal force, was investigated regarding tilting behavior; differential equations derived were reduced to dimensionless form and substituted for finite linear equation system with higher order difference terms; characteristic values were calculated by computer using fractional iteration; dependence of tilt values on various parameters is given in diagram.
