Liberty Bend bridge
Missouri River bridge 1884 ft long, was built on dry land right down middle of concrete road; ox-bow bend of river will be cut off by new channel which will shorten river about 6-mi, purpose being to reduce extreme high water at Kansas City, several miles upstream; bridge composed of two cantilever trusses each 460 ft long, at either end of which there are two 185-ft deck trusses and one 107-ft deck girder; all piers sunk to solid rock.
