Lean cement treatment for subbase material
Addition of about 1 1/2 to 2% of portland cement to roadbed soil or base material of "borderline" quality in American roadbuilding practice described; when roadmixed thoroughly at optimum moisture, mixture is found to have better stability and load carrying capacity than uncorrected material; plasticity index test reveals that low cement factor may reduce plasticity of available material.
