Saskatchewan completes its section of Trans-Canada Highway
In building 405.95 mi long highway more than 20 million cu yds of earth were moved; 7 million tons of subbase, base course and surfacing materials, comprising rock, gravel, sand and blacktop, were employed; five concrete and steel overpasses, six concrete bridges, and three timber bridges were constructed and one concrete bridge was modified.
