Seismic signals from nuclear explosions in overdriven cavities
Static treatment is given of seismic signal from nuclear explosions in overdriven cavities, with particular attention to role of yield condition for material of cavity environment and to role of incipient tension; when elastic limits are exceeded, seismic signal is larger than purely elastic treatment would imply; this enhancement, however, grows relatively slowly with overdrive under certain circumstances.
