Culvert described consists of set-paved invert covered by five ring brick arch with mass concrete abutment walls 5 ft thick; abutment walls are extended to form saddle over brick arch ranging from 3 ft on outsides to 6 in. at crown of arch; section of culvert is situated under principal two-way 4 lane local and through traffic route, carrying 4000 vehicles/hr at peak periods; deck, 18 in. deep and 22 ft wide, is simply supported and comprises six composite bays, each 55 ft long, with in-situ reinforced concrete bay at each end.
