New techniques in precasting interior and exterior walls made for three-story extended-care facility for San Jose Hospital and Health Center in California; corridor panels are cast without rebar connections and holes are drilled in them later to take floor slab reinforcing; other techniques used include hinged door blockouts to protect frames, U-bolts for securing knee braces, special anchor bolts between door frames and precast panels, and adjustable horizontal steel shores for use in narrow spaces.
