Freitragende Bogenlehrgerueste in Abu Simbel
Self-supporting centering in Abu-Simbel temple; temple will be disassembled, reconstructed at higher location, and covered by 60-m span reinforced concrete dome combining cylindrical and spherical sections; due to transportation problems and shortness of time available for construction, easy-to-assemble and easily movable centering was designed for both sections; structural details of centering, its lowering and shifting mechanisms, and special devices for concreting spherical calotte are described.
