Concrete and lightweight concrete from incinerator slag; pilot-scale tests were made to investigate feasibility of using incinerator slag (IS) as aggregate; good quality concrete with cement content of 228, 290, and 360 kg/ cu m was obtained from IS produced in winter; summer IS required higher contents of cement (260, 336, and 422 kg/cu m, respectively); bending strength of IS concretes was higher but Young's modulus lower than in equivalent concretes made with natural aggregates; IS was found suitable also for light weight concrete.
