Inelastic H-columns under biaxial bending
Numerical procedure is presented for determining displacements of isolated H-column loaded eccentrically with respect to both principal axes of end cross sections; procedure is indirect incremental-load analysis in which strain history is considered; procedure is applicable to initially straight and untwisted columns made from elastic-perfectly plastic material; torsional warping of end cross sections may be either permitted or prevented; eccentricities of loading must be alike at both ends of member; residual thermal strains are accounted for in analysis.
