Method of construction of upstream and downstream cofferdam walls in up to 55 ft depth of water; colcreting process defined as production of concrete by grouting of voids in prepacked stone aggregate with cement-sand grout mixed in high speed, colloidal mixer is described and details are given of plant, material, and formwork used; it is shown how up to about 42,000 cu ft of Colcrete was placed in one day under water to construct walls in short working periods.
