Misconceptions that public attributes to zoning are described, and examples are given; available methods of flexible zoning as it pertains to side yards, lot sizes, setbacks, and lot widths, are analyzed; assets of single-family open-space developments are pointed out along with planned-unit development mechanism which forms basis of New Town construction.
