Formation of optimum pore structure in lightweight building materials
Relationship between pore structure and physical characteristics of lightweight building materials was investigated at Institute of Civil Engineering of Latvian SSR; review of known methods to determine porosity by optical-, fluid penetration-, and mechanical techniques is made and particular disadvantages are stressed; photoelectronic method developed at Moscow Civil Engineering Institute is described and its practical applications are discussed.
